<p>CCC Foundation is a not for profit charitable organisation based in Australia and Sri Lanka. CCC supports people in Sri Lanka in the areas of:</p>

<p>It was first registered in May 2003 to assist children suffering with cancer at the National Cancer Institute Maharagama (NCI) in Sri Lanka.&#160; In 2009 construction started at the CCC House, a 170 bed cancer transit home in Sri Lanka similar to the Ronald MacDonald House. In December 2009 CCC launched CCCLine, the first telephone counselling service in Sri Lanka.   <br />CCC Foundation works with its alliance partners Royal Children’s Hospital, Peter Maccallum Cancer Centre, Lifeline International and Centre for International Mental Health  <br />CCC Foundation is<b> </b>based on Courage, Compassion &amp; Commitment (CCC). We believe it is these very qualities in those who support our efforts to help the sick and the underprivileged that makes the difference.</p>

It was established in 1958 with a staff of less than 10 medical officers. Presently, the specialist edical consultant team consists of eight medical oncologists, two surgeons, a gynaecologist, anaesthetist, haematologist, pathologist, microbiologist, radiologist, physician and a paediatrician. Furthermore, over 80 medical officers assist the consultants to manage the relevant departments.</p>
<p>Each year, the numbers of patients seeking treatment for various types of cancers have increased. At present there are 50 inpatients and approx. 500 attend the outpatient clinics daily. The bed strength of the hospital is 600 and is nsufficient to provide a bed for all resident patients.</p>
